Uniseg Products has finalized the design on its new “Mil-Spec” range of Snap-Flat latches and has placed an order with its manufacturer. We expect limited samples to be available by October and stock to be delivered by January 2025.
The “Mil-Spec” design, features a reverse spring configuration compared to the common direction springs of the previous versions. The arrangement offers superior protection against accidental disengagement of the Catch Arm and the Catch Plate (hook).
Other improved features include a low profile making it suitable for protective case products and long life ‘non-wear’ spring design. It also features 4 easily accessible holes that enable the latch to be readily installed by either pop rivet or bolt/screw.
The “Mil-Spec” Snap-Flat latches will be produced in 3 different sizes, M6, M8 & M10 and will be a direct replacement for the Ojop 701,702 & 703/4 latches. The latch and corresponding catch (hook) will be offered in both silver and black nickel coatings.
